St George's Hospital Mural
I was asked to design and paint a mural for this fence that faces the service users of the MOD ward at this NHS hospital for mental health - St George's in Stafford.
The brief was very open, so to get things going I designed a simple landscape, something to brighten up the garden and make this rather tall fence look a bit less imposing. Having sent the design to be looked at by some of the current service users, they suggested adding in symbols to represent the tri-services: a bird for the airforce, a lion for the army and an anchor for the navy.
